We are really excited about this little filtercone; it greatly improves the quality of the coffee you brew and it is so simple! This design features more durable plastic, and is easy to disassemble for cleaning.
Like all filtercone brewing methods, you directly control the temperature of the water, ratio of water and coffee and infusion time.
The dripper will fit on cups and thermoses with tops wider than 1.5" and less than 3.75" in diameter. Of course, if you put the dripper on a very narrow thermos, you should make sure the dripper is stable. BPA-free Plastic. Not dishwasher or microwave safe.
In essence, the Clever Coffee Dripper combines the best features of French press and filter drip brewing, eliminating the drawbacks of each. With French press brewing, you have control over steeping time, but heat loss and sediment in the cup can be a problem. Brewing with a paper filter is easy and convenient; the problem is lack of control over steeping time (i.e. the coffee begins to drain immediately). By adding a stopper to the filtercone, the Clever Coffee Dripper combines control over steeping time with a sediment-free cup. We call this a "full immersion brewing" method.
#2 sized filters work well with this but they will stick up a little higher than the dripper's rim. A #1 filter will sit about a 1/4" below the rim which could allow for grinds in your cup. The dripper will fit on cups with tops wider than 1.5" and less than 3.75" in diameter. BPA-free Plastic. It doesn't come with a lid, but it does come with a coaster that is almost big enough to function as a lid.
This brewer holds a total of 11 fluid oz. but when allowing room for the ground coffee, you will only be able to pour in about 10.6 fluid oz of water, yielding a 10 fluid oz cup of brewed coffee. It's 5.25" wide and 4.75" tall. We feel this smaller Clever dripper brews the perfect amount for one person or 2 people who like to drink smaller amounts at a time.

I was disappointed in the small size and the lack of a lid. I have two of the large size and am very happy with them. I returned it and will re-order the large size. As a point of interest, I bought the other large filters for about $14 each. They are now $22 each. More than a 50% increase. Why this huge jump in price? The coffee shop where I purchased them no longer sell them for that very reason.Wash them by hand....avoid the dishwasher.

Works great! Better control over coffee strength than a drip or perc pot. Slightly better than a vacuum pot. Water is always fresh and clean, as it does not pass over a heating element, and the hot water does not flow through wet coffee grounds, which diminishes the strength of the brew. It is very easy to learn to use.Quick cleanup,no "downsides" to this little gadget. I like it well enough that I plan to buy the large (#4 filter size) model.

The product is nicely made and well designed.This size accommodates approximately 10 oz of water.I boil water in microwave and add a bit of tap water to drop temp to ~ 195.Add water evenly to try to evenly wet grounds. Tried stirring - but gave up - too awkward and no apparent benefit.Use an old-fashioned sand-type 3 minute egg timer.Informal taste tests with family and friends (one of whom is a pro barrista) - aero press makes a richer smoother cup.But this is a bit more convenient since I can do other things while it is brewing and dripping, but aeropress requires spending "plunger timeMinor annoyances:Lid developed an edge crack despite hand-washing only.Device cannot be disassembled for cleaning.Grounds will stay very wet unless you place on a cup to allow to drain after coffee is made.I lose patience for the last .5 oz or so to drip, so I usually put it on another cup to drain.
